Betances born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn has been a life long Yankees fan. He has pitched in seven minor league seasons and is trying to improve on his 2012 (6.39) era.
The SWB RailRiders are opening the new $43 million dollar PNC Field on Thursday night in Moosic. Manager Dave Miley is starting his 7th season in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Miley managed the AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees for one season in Columbus before leaving for Pennsylvania.
