WEST BRUNSWICK TOWNSHIP -- Two young sisters who died after a car crash last week in Schuylkill County were laid to rest on Wednesday. Their mother, who was also seriously injured, spoke at the funeral.

The family allowed Newswatch 16 to be there.

Friends and family gathered at Faith Church near Orwigsburg to say goodbye to 6-year-old Carianna Kroh and 3-year-old Catrina Williams.  It was an emotional celebration for two sisters lost all too soon. Their mother spoke to the community, thanking them for all of their love and support.

Hundreds gathered at Faith Church dressed in pink to celebrate and say goodbye to these two little girls lost all too soon.

The sisters - 6-year-old Carianna, and 3-year-old Catrina - died after a car crash outside their church on Palm Sunday.

Their mom, hurt herself in that crash, stood strong, to thank those helping her and her family through unimaginable pain.

"I'm thankful that all of you remember my girls and are here for them, and keep those memories alive," said Victoria Place.

For friends and family, the funeral was a time to focus on the happiness Catrina and Carianna have brought many members of the Faith Church.

"They did light a room up, both of them," said Dave Miggins. "They had smiles that would stretch from ear to ear."

"We're here to honor two little beautiful lives, and we're here to support and uphold the family in any way that we can and that's what we need," said Marianne Lech of Frackville.

Members of Faith Church remembered the sisters with song, scripture, and prayer. And two doves, symbolizing their young spirits, were released as the service came to a close.

"I wanted the services this way to celebrate their life and I wanted you to hear the songs to let you know that you can have the strength as well to get through," their mother said.

As the parents of these sisters work to move on, they feel blessed to have such amazing angels watching over them from now on.

"These two girls, just the power of these two girls, 6 and 3 years old, were able to do this, I couldn't be any more proud of my daughter," said Catrina's father Edward Williams.

Many members of the community have been holding benefits to help Victoria Place and her family financially with medical and funeral costs.

Donations are also being taken through the Victoria Place Children's Memorial Fund at any M & T Bank.

FAITH church's pastor says so far the community's donated more than $20,000.
