Whether you`re planning to reorganize your closet or just unload those items your`e not using. Don`t trash the stuff. Area Goodwills and Salvation Army`s want to take it all off of your hands.

All to help them help many others.

From books to television shows, there is plenty of professional advice out there to help people spring clean or just get their homes organized.

If you too are in the mood to make more room in your house, Salvation Army`s in our area say send your unused stuff their way!

"'What I would suggest they do is fill up those big garbage bags. Bring them as big as possible.  We like to be busting at the seams so we can offer the customer as much humanly possible to shop from.  We could use everything. We could use spring clothes right now but don`t roll out coats as well," said Salvation Army spokesman Alan Miller.

Miller says over the past several months, clothing donations at the Salvation Army have been down across the board. Lack of items means fewer sales and less money for programs the Sally provides in our communities.

"It goes to our program that helps people with drug and alcohol problems and tries to get them on a better path in life," said Miller.

And for those of you who have never shopped here before, workers tell us you might just be surprised on what you can find on the cheap.

"We get coach purses, gucci purses," said Miller.

Plus. Even some items to help you spice up your spring wardrobe.

"Shorts, t-shirts. Vintage t-shirts, vintage dresses, vintage shoes."

Employees hope the warmer weather wardrobe options will only increase for customers as more donations roll in.

Whether you`re planning to re-organize your closet or just unload those items your`e not using, don`t trash the stuff. Area Goodwills and Salvation Army`s want to take it all off of your hands all to help them help many others.
