SHAMOKIN TOWNSHIP — A wreck in Northumberland County closed part of a road and sent one driver to the hospital.
It happened around 11 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Route 61 and Juniper Road in Shamokin Township, near Paxinos.
Troopers believe the driver of an SUV drifted into the lane of a dump truck and collided.
The driver of the SUV was taken to a hospital. The dump truck driver was not hurt.
A detour is in place. There is no word how long Route 61 will be closed in the area of the crash.
