SCRANTON -- A group of children in Lackawanna County is helping families in need this Easter.

Students from All Saints Academy in Scranton collected candy and other goodies to make Easter baskets for those less fortunate.

Children in pre-k through eighth grade at the school on West Jackson Street collected enough items to make 115 baskets.

Organizers from Friends of the Poor picked up the baskets Monday morning.

Friends of the Poor will pass out the Easter baskets Tuesday and Wednesday at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Human Services building in Scranton.
