WILKES-BARRE -- Hundreds of bowlers were knocking down pins in Luzerne County Sunday to help those with cancer.

About 30 teams of bowlers hit the lanes at Chacko's Family Bowling Center in Wilkes-Barre to raise money during the 8th annual Foundation 58 Bowling for the Brave event.

Foundation 58 helps emergency service personnel, like firefighters and police officers, who are battling cancer.

"One thing our foundation does is it helps offset some of the costs that insurances and other aid doesn't help, financially assist patients with, so that's what we provide," said Keith Mhley.

Foundation 58 was created in memory of Hazleton Fire Chief Gabriel Mhley.
