EDWARDSVILLE — A firefighter in Luzerne County turned himself in Friday to face theft charges.
Daniel West of Nanticoke went before a magisterial district judge Friday morning.
Court papers show that West wrote $4,983.70 in unauthorized checks to himself while he was the treasurer of the Franklin Hose Company Number Two in Edwardsville.
It happened between January 2009 and October 2012.
West told investigators he did it to pay his rent.
