PECKVILLE -- A church in Lackawanna County helped driver save some money.

The Peckville Assembly of God held a gasoline buy-down Friday morning at Pop Pop's mini mart in Peckville.

The church made a $1,000 contribution in order to take 50 cents per gallon off for each customer.

Customers were allowed to purchase up to ten gallons of gas at the reduced price.

The buy-down started at 8:30 a.m. and continued until $1,000 worth of gasoline was sold.

It's the third year the church has sponsored the buy-down in Lackawanna County.
