WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP -- There were basketball games going on in arenas around the country all week for the NCAA tournament. It's known as March Madness!
It's the best time of the year for college basketball fans, and a pretty good time of year for all the establishments that cater to college basketball fans.
Lucky's Sport House outside Wilkes-Barre features 30 high definition televisions.
We stopped by on Wednesday, and every single one of them was showing college basketball.
The NCAA tournament brought a full house of fans to Lucky's, each with their own rooting interest.
"Miami. Why? Because they're in the ACC, and I'm a big Maryland fan, so I'd like to see an ACC team take the tournament," said John Kuzenchek of Wilkes-Barre.
"Syracuse starts at 9:50 tonight, so we're really excited because Syracuse is my team, so I'm excited to see them play tonight," said Mary Kate Lambert of Wyoming.
"It just draws a great crowd. We get the folks who like to skip work, and hide around and pretend they had an appointment that day. It's just a great crowd," said Nicole Bohonko, service manager at Lucky's.
Bohonko said March Madness brings an even bigger crowd than the Super Bowl.
This time of year, it seems everyone is a college basketball fan.
Lucky's has a new feature this year, giant heads of some of the coaches. That's for people who like to skip work and spend their whole day here watching NCAA basketball. If they're worried about being recognized and getting in trouble with the boss, they can just hid behind one of the heads and watch the game.
"My favorite part about it is that anyone can win. You have 64 teams coming into a bracket. It doesn't matter if you're a 16 seed or a number one seed, it's anyone's game when it comes to the tournament," said Lambert.
