LEWISBURG -- March Madness is in full swing and many people in Union County spent the afternoon cheering on Bucknell University in the NCAA basketball tournament.

Unfortunately for Bison fans, Bucknell came up short, but their fans support the team no matter what.

It was a sea of orange and blue at Damon's Grill near Lewisburg.  The restaurant was filled to capacity with Bucknell fans.

"Just look at all the people in here!  It's just very nice for the kids to have gotten this far with all the efforts they put in," said Connie Tressler of Herndon.

"I can't even put into words how exciting this is.  Everyone at this table are huge Bucknell fans.  We've been to almost every game this season," said Bucknell senior Morgan Oxley.

It was standing room only at some bars and restaurants in downtown Lewisburg.  Dedicated Bucknell fans were glued to the television screens.

"I'm sorry, I'm turning away, but I'm not going to miss a possession here. It's close!" said Scott Bernstein.

For students at Bucknell University, there was no better place to watch the big game than right on campus with all of their classmates.

"It's good to see what the University did for this, really put on a show so we can watch wherever we are.  Showing it at lunch and in classrooms, it's great," said Bucknell sophomore Brian Ward.

Bucknell University provided free snacks in its student center and the game was on almost every television on campus.  Unfortunately for Bison fans the game did not end in their favor.  Butler beat Bucknell 68 to 56.

"It was a tough loss.  We didn't play our best game, but we're still very proud of them," said Jim Doyle.

"It was a tough one," said Bucknell senior Grace Ragold.  "It was really exciting in the second half.  Exciting to come see them take the lead, but Butler proved to be too much."

The mayor of Lewisburg says there will be a parade for the team next week.
