What happens when you give kids something healthy to eat, but you don't tell them it's healthy?

Well that's what we're going to find out now in this week's taste test.

It was Dr. Seuss reading day here at Dr. Kistler Elementary School in Luzerne County, but it was also a taste test day.

We decided to do things a little differently this time. We pulled the cereal out of the box and gave the 6th grade students a blind taste test of the chocolate looking cereal.

"It tastes like very chocolaty, it tastes like kinda hard, like very crunchy.  Almost like coco puffs, or some type of cereal like that," said student Anthony Macko.

"It's very chocolaty and crunchy and delicious, I like it," said student Tagan Staudenmeier.

The students had no clue what they just tasted was the new General Mills Fiber One 80 Calories Chocolate flavored cereal.

After hearing how tasty and chocolaty the cereal is. I decided it was the perfect time to reveal what it is.
Michelle:"Are you ready?"

Michelle: "I just revealed to you, what you actually just tasted, what's your initial reaction? Isabella:"That it was fiber. " Michelle:"And that was surprising to you?" Isabella:"Yea because I thought it would taste yucky and not good because my mom had one of those before."

"Eh, I don't know it's just like, I thought it was like crave or something," said student Nick Matthews.

Nope, definitely not crave or coco puffs. This chocolate brand of Fiber One cereal only has 80 calories per serving, 1 gram of total fat and contains 9 grams of dietary fiber.

So there you have it. Even the kids approve of this new cereal, it's quick, tasty and healthy, and one box only costs $2.50. Maybe you'll think twice next time before grabbing something like coco puffs.
