UPDATE: A state police fire marshal has ruled the house fire accidental. Investigators believe there was an electrical problem in the kitchen.

HAZLETON -- Crews in Hazleton responded to a fire at a home Tuesday.

It broke out after 1 p.m. in the 400 block of Keifer Avenue.

Authorities said smoke and flames were reported coming from the third floor of the house.

Hazleton's Fire Chief told Newswatch 16 that a firefighter was flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley after he fell through a floor inside the burning home, but he was treated and released from the hospital several hours later.

A fire marshal will investigate the cause.
