COAL TOWNSHIP- A state police fire marshal will be investigating the cause of a morning fire in Northumberland county.

The fire chief says the fire started in a vacant side of the home along West Church Street in the village of Ranshaw.

A woman was living in the other half of the house and had to be helped out by neighbors when the fire started. The fire chief was not sure where she will be staying. There were no injuries reported.
