Long Sentence For Convicted Child Rapist

WILKES-BARRE — A convicted child rapist was sentenced to prison time Friday in Luzerne County.

John Butz of the Hanover Township area faces 22 to 44 years behind bars.

Last year, a jury convicted Butz of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl between 2008 and 2009 in Luzerne County.
