SCRANTON — A city worker faces charges for calling in a fake bomb threat to the D.P.W. building.
Authorities said Mark Jakes, 47, turned himself into police Friday morning.
According to police, Jakes called the D.P.W. building along West Poplar Street last Friday and told a dispatcher a bomb was set to go off. The dispatcher contacted the D.P.W. director. Minutes later the employee admitted it was a joke.
Jakes is charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.
