Red Cross “Everyday Heroes” Award Nominations

In every community, there are Everyday Heroes who dedicate themselves to providing extraordinary service to others and saving lives. These Everyday Heroes can be family, friends or neighbors. They are selfless and stand resolute in the face of danger.

On October 16, 2013, The American Red Cross Lackawanna County Chapter will be hosting its inaugural Everday Heroes Awards Breakfast. Those honored will have been nominees from the following categories: Military, Medical, Adult Good Samaritan, Fire Safety, Emergency Services and Law Enforcement.

The American Red Cross Lackawanna County Chapter is asking your help in identifying these Everyday Heroes.

Nominees must have saved or assisted in saving a life by preventing or intervening in a crisis situation or by giving the victim/victims aid they need, or would have needed, to survive.

The life-saving event need not have taken place in LackawannaCounty but nominees must live, work or attend school in LackawannaCounty. The heroic act must have occurred between January 1 and December 31, 2012.

The Everyday Heroes Awards Breakfast will be held October 16, 2013, starting at 8 a.m., at Genetti Manor in DicksonCity.
