  • 12 year old Sara Reynolds from Nicholson bagged her first boss gobbler on the first day of the Youth Hunt at 10 yards with her Grandfathers single shot 20 gauge shotgun. Her boss gobbler had a 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs and weighed in at 27 pounds. Thanks to the PA Game Commission for allowing the Youth hunt.

  • this old tom weighed in at 20lbs with a 9 1/2" beard and 1 1/16" spurs.spotted the bird in open field on farm i hunt in sheshequin township bradford county, which also seems to be the honey hole for big toms. I took him down with my grandfathers 870 remington wingmaster 2 3/4" shell.my biggest tom to date.

  • This is Gary Derrick from Orangeville Pa. He caught this beautiful Brooky 22" 4 1/2 pounder at Wallaces Bottom in Muncy Pa. I am so proud of my Uncle Gary.

  • 36" 18 lb.7oz.Lake Trout caught in Keuka Lake NY.on 5/16 /13 on 12lb test line .the fight lasted 1-1/2 hours until it was in the boat.

  • Golden Rainbow Trout caught by John Bator's friend Alan at the Old Mill located in Sciota. Measured 24 inches, 5 pounds with 10 inch girth. It was released to provide action for another angler on some other day.

  • Marion Weidman of Canadensis PA hunting with fiance Peter Warner of Skytop shot this two bearded gobbler on the 18th of May at Skytop with a 20 gauge mossberg. One beard measured 10 1/2 inches, the other 7 inches.

  • I found a Belted Kingfisher hunting along the Delaware from a favorite eagle's perch in Narrowsburg, NY. Not the bird I was looking for originally, but a beautiful and curious creature nonetheless. By Nancy K. Free, Carbondale, PA.

  • I spotted a pair of Wood Ducks on the Delaware River near Damascus Township on Tuesday. I love their coloring and think they look as if nature painted them with very careful strokes.

  • Here is a picture of Cara Swartzlander of Winfield, Snyder County PA with her very first Gobbler. This bird was taken on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. It weighed 19lbs, had a 9 inch beard, and 7/8 inch spurs. Cara was hunting in snyder county with her fiance' Shawn Wagner. Thanks to her Father, Earl, and her Fiance', Shawn for all their hard work and time spent out in the woods trying to help her get her first gobble.

  • On a beautiful sunny day Penni caught and released this smallie unharmed. This is one of several all over 18 inches that were released. lets all help protect this wonderful resourse that is right here in our backyard for future generations to enjoy!!! Submitted by C. Shinert of Pittston Twp.

  • This is Stacie Rakowsky from Schuylkill Haven. She caught this 18" rainbow trout Sunday, May 5th at Big Hemlock Lodge, outside of Orwigsburg. Stacie caught this fighter using an earthworm and a simple weighted rig.

  • Wayne “Dead-Eye” Potts, of Drums, Pa downed his first spring gobbler this past Monday, May 13th, from a blind, at approximately 9:30 am on a beautiful cold sunny morning. Wayne set up twice before the lone tom appeared within 100 yards of the blind. He downed it with his 20 gauge Remington 1100 shotgun at 40 yards. The 15 pound bird sported a 5 inch beard and half inch spurs.

  • Jacob "Jake" Feese10 years old from Dornsife, PA Northumberland county. This turkey was harvested after school on May 13, 2013. His favorite hunting guide, his dad, Scott Feese called this gobbler in. The bird weighed 20lbs, sported a 10 1/2" beard and 1 1/4" spurs. Bird was taken with a 12 gauge shot gun.

  • AJ Piestrak, age 6, of Olyphant PA landed this 12.5 inch largemouth bass on May 11 at the Lackawanna State Park. He was using a red Pier Boy Special worm. He was fishing with his dad, Tony Piestrak.

  • Mike Rupp, Bloomsburg saw these triplets cross in front of him on April 27th near Stillwater. They were a little bigger than a housecat.

  • Kevin Werner, age 6, from Scranton reeled in his first Pickerel at Lake Henry on May 4th.

  • Ed Pickett Jr. and his son Sterling of Loganton, Pa. are seen here with Ed's 2013 Spring turkey. The bird weighed 21 pounds, had 1 inch heavy spurs and a thick 10 inch beard. Ed and his son Sterling both bagged mature longbeards this year, a first. What a great year for both of us.

  • Sterling Pickett, 14 of Loganton, Pa. with his very first wild Turkey bagged on 4-20-13 during Pa.'s Youth Day hunt. Sterling was hunting with his Dad, Ed in Clinton County. He shot the bird with a 20 gauge shotgun at 715am after a hunt that lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes. The bird weighed 17 3/4 pounds, had 3/4 inch spurs and a 9 inch beard.

  • Heather Smith Berwick Pa. This was Heathers very first turkey hunt. bird was killed on the opening day of this years gobbler season. the bird weighed 15 lbs and had a 5" beard. she was hunting with her father when she shot the bird at 20 yds with her Mossberg 20 ga.

  • Cheyanne Brucher (age 13) and her brother Jordan Brucher (age 9) went pheasant hunting at Ringneck Ridge with their dad April 14th. They were able to take 6 out of 8 birds and had the time of their life. Close family friends, Dan and Adam Chorba joined the kids with their dog Buck who helped flush out and retrieve the birds. Cheyanne and Jordan are from Harveys Lake PA and love the outdoors.

  • This is a picture of my Spring Gobbler that I shot at 15 yards on May 6th,2013. It was a 14lb. bird with a 4 in. beard at 6:30 am. This makes the 17th straight successful year for Spring Gobbler and they were all within 25 yards at the same location.

  • This is 12 year-old Nathan Wolff's biggest trout so far in his life. He caught this 22 inch rainbow trout while fishing with his grandfather, Jack Wolff at the Sweet Arrow lake family fun fishing event. He caught this lunker with a night crawler.

  • Newton Ransom Outdoors (NRO) Pro Staff Matt (Left) and Ricky (Right). Set out on a perfect morning. The Turkey started talking as soon as Matt cocked his gun in the field! As the Jake got within 18 Yards Matt checked with (NRO) camera man Ricky, and Ricky gave the go ahead signal to shoot. Matt hit with a perfect shot! Ricky caught it all on film as he always does! This was a great day!

  • Craig shot this turkey - his biggest to date - on May 4, 2013 at 7:30 a.m. in Mahoning Township while hunting with his buddy Rodney. It had an 11 inch beard and 1 inch spurs, and weighed 23 pounds. This gobbler was hanging with two others when Craig shot him with a Remington 870 super mag.

  • Dale Gilbert JR. of Cressona bagged his second gobbler on May 10th at 8am. it had a 10 inch beard and 1 inch spurs and weighed in at 20lbs. I shot it at a distance of 8yards

  • This photo was taken by Ian Hunt near his home in Albrightsville. Not only is he Big and Healthy, he is a cinnamon phase bear which makes him a lot more unusual.

  • Dale Gilbert Jr. Cressona, PA Shot this 19lb gobbler with 8.5" beard and 1" spurs on May 8, 2013 at 7am. Sat patiently in a down pour and waited for this old boy to come in!

  • Terry Sliker of Dingmans Ferry shot his spring gobbler on 5/3/13 while hunting on state forest land in Pike county. The tom weighed in at 22 pounds, had 1 inch spurs, and sported 2 beards measuring 8 and 10 inches.

  • Gavin Enders age 11 of Mifflinburg caught this 30" 8.5lb Rainbow Trout on April 20, 2013 while fishing in Union County. He caught this fish on a Trout Magnet lure while fishing with his dad, grandpa and grandma. Gavin decided to release this fish to be caught again another day.

  • Pamela Fair from Montandon, Pa. This is my first turkey. I shot him hunting with my husband Mike in Northumberland County on May 6th at 6:20am. He weighed 20.3 lbs, had 1 1/8" spurs, and a 11" beard. I took him with a 12 guage shotgun at 40 yards.

  • Kyle Cruser of Dunmore called in two gobblers in the morning, but he couldn’t get a shot at them. After a break we went back out. About 20 min. later we heard one gobbling about 30 yards away. We called him to within 15 yards. He was 22lbs and had a 9 inch beard. Not bad for his first turkey.

  • I shot the Spring Gobbler at 11:15 a.m. in Tobyhanna State Park (WMU 3D) on 27 April 2013. It is my first turkey ever since I have been overseas most of my Army career and done all of my hunting in Europe where they have no wild turkeys. The bird weighed 17.5 pounds. I'm having the tail fan, spurs (1") and beard (7.5") mounted at Lamparter's Wildlife Design in Gouldsboro, PA. Duce, our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, was not along but was excited to sit with me for the photo.

  • Logan Broyan (13) of Nescopeck killed this 21 pound gobbler with a 9 3/4 inch beard and 1 1/8 inch spurs, while hunting on his family farm with is grandfather Dave Hoffman.

  • Vanessa Maltese of Moscow PA caught her first Brown Trout while fishing at Lake Wallenpaupack on Saturday May 4 2013. The fish measured 25 inches long and weighed in at 4.11 lbs. She caught it trolling using crankbaits while fishing with Brad Rarick and Robert Aberiel.

  • Lynn McCauley. Watsontown. 15 in brook trout using butter worms. mccall dam rd. union county. may 5, 2013. caught a total of 3 legal and 3 natives. amazing day!

  • While taking a ride with the dog to take her for a walk at the industrial park in Nesquehoning on Wednesday evening and on the way to the park I saw a black bear wanting to cross over the tracks. About 200 lbs

  • Now I am going to enjoy my morels stuffed with crab imperial and t bone you can't beat it !!

  • Jessica Deeter caught this nice bass on a Mean Greenie worm at Lake Chilisaque near Washingtonville. The bass was 13 1/2" long and weighed just short of 3 lbs. She was fishing with her father Dan Walz and this was her first bass for the year

  • 05/05/2013 _ Tristan Stackhouse caught this bass while fishing with his dad on the Susquehanna River in williampsort . The bass measured 18 7/8 inches long and on the trip he actually caught three bass all over 16 inches long.

  • Briar Creek Lake 5/5/13, the tree is hollow inside she was on top of the tree leaning in we thought she fell in but went around the tree and saw the opening on the side and feathers everywhere she has a nest built, she slides down the inside of the tree to the nest with just enough open space to fly out.

  • My wife Maggie and I were camping at Promised Land State Park for the weekend of 4/26 - 4/28. Sunday morning we had just seen the male catch a fish in the lake and feed it to the eaglets while the female watched from a higher limb. This was taken right after feeding from about 75-100 yards away.

  • Jerry Possinger, age 6, from Pocono Pines, PA - caught his first fish the weekend of April 20th. He caught a little Blue Gill which he released.

  • Colt Longenberger (16) shot this 20lb. long beard while hunting with his neighbor Larry Kline in Madison Township. Colt shot it at 20 yards on the 2nd Saturday of the season at 6:30 am using a Remington 870 Super Mag and Winchester 3 1/2 in 5 shot. Colt would like to thank his neighbor for everything he has taught him about turkey hunting.

  • Steven Leuthe from Fleetville, Pa. shot this 23lb. long beard with 1 ¼ in. spurs from 20 yards using a 10 gauge New England turkey gun with a XXX turkey choke. It was by far the biggest bird I have ever taken and the most exciting turkey hunt I have ever experienced. Good luck everyone and shoot straight!

  • Brenna Brown (11) of Middleburg. Her first turkey. Has 8 inch beard, weighed 20 lbs., with 1 inch spurs. Shot at 20 yards at 6:45 am on May 4, 2013. Called in by her dad.

  • Austun Vols 11 years old of Duryea, shot his 1st turkey on may 4th. while hunting with his dad and uncle Matt. in dorance PA. Austuns turkey had 1 inch spurs and a 9 1/2 inch beard.

  • Anthony Sickler, Jason Sabbatin, and Katie Jones(not pictured) from Edwardsville PA went fishing at Harris Pond on May 4 th and caught around 50 between the three of them.

  • Double bearded turkey shot by Lamar Hummel of Pine Grove on the first day of turkey season. This gobbler was 20 lbs with a 10" & 7 1/2" beard wtih 3/4" spurs shot at Friedensburg.

  • Chris Gale is shown here with his spring gobbler harvested on the first day of the season. The turkey was shot with a 12 gauge Benelli shotgun. It sported an 8 inch beard and 3/4 inch spurs. It was harvested in Ransom Twnp.

  • Here is a pic of the bird shot by John Long of Frackville. He got this beauty just after 8 am on May 2nd. So far this is johns best bird to date. It had 1 1/8" spurs and a nice, thick 10" beard. He shot it at a distance of 50 yards. What an outing!!!

  • Jodi Mcpherson from Canton, Pa. Bagged a 17 lb.gobbler with a 8 1/2 " beard, 1 " spurs at 7 a.m. on April 27 th with a Tenpoint crossbow. My second year hunting with a crossbow during Spring Gobbler. I always make it a point to say a pray to the Good Lord and claim my game and believe I will recieve it. He always hears my prayers.

  • Bruce shot this spring gobbler 4/29/13 in West Mountain Lacka County.This turkey was 24 lbs and had a 11in beard and 1 1/4 spur.The turkey was shot at 6:00 AM with a 20 gauge shot gun and it was a 20 yard shot.Bruce is a member of the Keyser Valley Buck A Roos.

  • Travis Bonham of Redrock bagged this 21 1/2 pound turkey at 605 am on the opening day of the spring gobbler season. The bird had a 9 1/4 inch beard and 1 inch spurs .Travis was hunting in Sugarloaf Twp, Coumbia County

  • George Jones, Duryea Pa with his 2 grandsons 6yr old Ryan and 12 yr old Christopher. Pictured here with the 21lb turkey with a 10" beard and 1" spurs he shot on the opening day of the spring turkey season, while hunting on a farm in Susquehanna county. The turkey was called in at 6:10am and shot it about 20 yards away.

  • Hunter Swartz of Beavertown, PA caught this Golden Rainbow Trout Saturday night April 27, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. on a four pound Trilen using a red worm. Fish was 14 inches caught out of Middle Creek in Beavertown, PA. He was fishing with his dad and neighbor Blake.

  • On Monday 4/29/13 at 7:15AM, Frank Rocco of Towamensing Township, shot this 22.5 lb turkey with 10 inch beard and 3/4 inch spurs using a 12 gauge 870 Remington. It took an hour to call it within 25 yards at the Delaware Water Gap on State Land in Northampton Township. We ate it that night; it was delicious.

  • After some close calls, 12-year old Dylan Reber, Pottsville, bagged his first gobbler April 27th. It had a 5 1/2 inch beard, and was taken with a 25-yard shot from a 20-gauge Remington 870. Dylan shot a nice 8-pointer this past archery season, and his hunting buddies are wondering what could happen when Dylan starts bear hunting this year.

  • Jacob Bruyn of Wyalusing shot his first spring gobbler on the first day of the youth mentored hunt at 8:30 am with his 20 guage shotgun. Jacob's turkey supported a 9 inch beard with 7/8 inch spurs and weighed 23lbs. Jacob was hunting with his Dad and made a clean shot at 25 yards.

  • Steve Mikitka , from Pocono Summit Pa. , caught this 25 inch trout on the Leigh River, in White Haven, below Francis E. Walter Dam. Steve was using a fly rod and a caddis nymph fly. It took 25 minutes to land the trophy.

  • Attached is a photo of Shawn Wagner of New Berlin, PA, Union County, taken Monday, April 29, 2013. This Bird weighed 20 LBS, had a 6 inch beard and had 3/4 inch spurs. Shawn was hunting on the same property as his Fiance' and her father in Snyder County, PA.

  • Rob Gotschal shot a 17 pound rare bearded hen while hunting with his son Austin in Bloomsurg, Columbia County. It had a remarkable 7 inch beard and was shot on opening day April 27th at 0800 am.

  • Steve Mikitka from Pocono Summit Pa., caught this 25 inch trout on the Leigh River in White Haven Pa. below the Francis E. Walter Dam. Steve caught it on a fly rod with a caddis nymph fly and it took 20 minutes to land this trout.

  • This is my daughter Sienna Bacorn with hers and my (Greg Bacorn) limit! We helped stock trout at Sunfish Pond for the second stocking. This is the second year we stocked, and the first year we trout fished. It was very exciting to watch her so into fishing! We normally fish the Susquehanna River, but I think a new tradition was born!

  • Zachary Jewett of Milford, Pa caught this 26 1/2 inch 6 1/2 pound walleye on Lake Wallenpaupack on 4/27 while fishing with his Dad. This fish also was weighed, measured and safely released.

  • Doug Sivers of Hallstead, PA bagged this nice bird on Monday, 4/29/13. It had a 9 inch beard, 3/4 inch spurs and weighed in at 18 pounds. He called it in and then the decoy got his attention. A classic hunt.

  • Kale Yacko shot his first Turkey while hunting with his grandfather Kale Andreas in Catawissa on Saturday April 27th. It weighed 22lbs and had a 9" beard.

  • 9 year old Caleb Stroud of Sweet Valley shot this 22 pound gobbler with an 8 1/4 inch beard and 1 1/4 inch spurs on his Grandfather's property in Noxen on 4/27/13 at 6:05am. He was hunting with his father Mark and his brother Jacob.

  • I shot this gobbler on opening mourning on my nieghbors property. He came in on off running and strutting to a hen screaming trying to pick a fight with my decoy! Bird had 10 3/4 beard and 1 1/8 spurs. Not my first turkey but one of funnest hunts to date!

  • ConnorElgin , from Tunkhannock, and his Grandpop Russ Elgin were out on Saturday for the Youth Mentoring Turkey Hunt. They were in Grandpops tree stand with decoys in the field beneath them. At about 8:00 a.m. three toms starting strutting towards the decoys. Connor aimed for the biggest one of the 3 and nailed it with his Grandpops 12 guage Mossberg. The turkey weighed 18 lbs and had a 5 inch beard. It was taken in Falls Twp.

  • 10 year old Giovanni Spataro from Mayfield shot his second Gobbler at 7am on April 19, 2013 during the Youth Mentor Turkey hunt. Giovanni harvested his Tom making a 25 yard shoot using a Remington 20 gauge. His bird weighed 18lbs and sported a 9 1/4" beard and 7/8" spurs and was a little bigger than the bird he got last fall. He was hunting with his dad from a turkey blind.

  • Michael Sabatelle, age 11, of Old Forge with a 22 1/4 lb gobbler that had a 9 inch beard and pair of 1 3/8 inch spurs. The bird came into a decoy set shortly after sun-up. Michael kept his cool until several birds cleared allowing a shot at the big boss gobbler. He took the bird with a 16 gauge shotgun at 23 yards.

Jack caught this trout using a silver spoon lure. This fish was caught on Saturday April 20th, which was Kieran's 14th birthday.

  • Jacob Yarmey of Wyoming bagged this turkey early Saturday morning. This 15 pound turkey was his first after years of trying. The day was even more special since it was the morning of his 15th birthday. Jake's Uncle John Pokorny helped scout the area and call the bird in.

  • This is Nathan Wolff's first Turkey at age 12. He shot this 19lb, 6 inch beard bird at 7:35 am in Tremont, PA with a 20 gauge youth model shotgun. He shot it with his dad, James Wolff. Nathan watched this bird for 20 minutes before getting a shot, he is a happy hunter now completing his first Pheasant, Deer, and Turkey combo.

  • On his first ever spring turkey hunt, Aiden (9) got this nice 15 lb Jake with a 5" beard at 715am. He shot it at 20 yds with his 20 gauge with 3" mags. He almost immediately told me how the gun doesn't kick at all when shooting at a turkey! He thanks Pop pop for offering to get his first turkey mounted!

  • On the opening day of fishing at Moss Glenn Gun Club, my son Aiden Elo (9) got this huge 26" 7 lb. 7 oz. rainbow trout using a rainbow roostertail spinner. Also in the picture is his brother Raif Elo with his 18" golden trout. You can see in the basket the rest of there great catches.

  • Vinny Damiano, Age 11, caught a 22 inch Tiger trout on opening day in Schuylkill County on his second cast using a worm with his Dad and younger brother Nick. He wasn't sure about the identification of the fish until he researched it and found that a Tiger trout is a hybrid of a Brook and Brown Trout. Pretty cool looking fish!

While fishing in East Benton, only a few days into the trout season I caught another beautiful Golden Rainbow using a salted minnow. The fish was 22 inches and weighed 6 1/4 pounds.   • Michael Strawsky, Wilkes-Barre Twp., at Lackawanna State Park on opening day of trout season was hoping for a trout, but catching a fish this large is always fun. This 12 lb, 30 inch carp took his bait of 2 pieces of corn and his pole into the lake. With help from his wife Christine, dog Brutus and neighbor Mike, he got it to shore.

  • Rylee LeValley, 10, from Stillwater also caught her first fish, a blue gill, while fishing with her father, Mike, and older sister Kendall, at Yaple's pond in New Columbus back in 2010. Both girls were excited to land the "big ones", and hope to improve on their fishing skills throughout the future. As you can see, Rylee was a bit more hesitant to touch her first catch. She was even hooked in the sleeve on one of Kendall's first casts.

  • Sophia Lantz, age 7, of New Ringgold caught this Palomino on the opening day of trout season out of the Little Lehigh behind her grandparents' home in Lower Macungie.

  • This owl was seen on Sunday March 24th. It was seen at about 3 in the afternoon on Owl Creek Road in Tamaqua. We think it is a barred owl.

  • I shot this three point deer at thirty yards with my hoyt on jessup mountain with my uncle jay on october 1st of the 2012 archery season. Very happy with the harvest.
