KINGSTON -- A court order has been put into effect to destroy about 200 firearms at the Kingston Police Station, in Luzerne County.

Officials told us that the weapons date back to the 1980's and 90's.

Many of the weapons were those that had been seized, and brought into custody for safekeeping.

Police said the firearms were just taking up space and are scheduled to be destroyed.
