Woman in Wheelchair Hit by SUV

SCRANTON — A sport utility vehicle hit a woman in a wheelchair Monday afternoon in Scranton.

It happened at the corner of Mulberry Street and North Washington Avenue around 2:00 p.m.

Police said they think the woman tried to cross the street, when she was struck by the SUV.

The woman was taken to the hospital for a leg injury after the crash in Scranton.
