JERSEY SHORE – An autopsy is set for Monday on human remains found at a home in Jersey Shore.
The Lycoming County coroner has said he believes the remains are those of Michael Krauser of Jersey Shore. The man had not been heard from for about a month.
Investigators discovered the remains on Thursday. They went to a home on South Lincoln Avenue in the borough as part of their effort to find Krauser. Archaeological experts from Mercyhurst College were at the home on Friday to help dig up the remains.
The man who lives in the home, Glenn Jackson, was arrested Thursday and charged with Abuse of Corpse. He is currently locked up in Lycoming County.
According to court papers, Jackson told a neighbor that he had buried a friend’s body under his home.
Some people Newswatch 16 spoke with said that Jackson and Krauser were friends, but others in Jersey Shore say the two were often overheard fighting.
