CHESTNUTHILL TOWNSHIP -- Police in Monroe County say the person who shot a woman in the stomach last month might be the victim's mother-in-law.
The shooting happened along Whisperwood Court near Brodheadsville.
According to a search warrant, Bernadette O'Reilly told police a woman disguised as a delivery person came to her door, handed her a package, and then shot her.
The victim said the woman looked like her mother-in-law who lives in Wisconsin.
Investigators determined that the woman in question rented a car in Wisconsin and returned it with enough miles for a trip to Pennsylvania.
Cell phone records also show the mother-in-law's phone was in the Poconos at the time of the shooting.
So far, no charges have been filed.
