HAZLETON -- The superintendent of Hazleton Area Schools said there is more of a police presence at all of the school buildings since the two shootings in the city last month.

Metal detectors have been in use at the high school since last August.

Now administrators are considering buying eight more metal detectors for the elementary and middle schools.
