Man Killed in Farm Accident

RANSOM TOWNSHIP — A man was killed in a farm accident in Lackawanna County.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday along Ransom Road outside Clarks Summit.

According to the coroner, sixty-two year old Carl Noakes of Ransom was unloading hay bales from a piece of heavy machinery when he became pinned between the bucket and frame of the vehicle.

State Police are investigating the fatal accident in Lackawanna County
