Car Crash in Lackawanna County

PECKVILLE — A man was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash in Lackawanna County.

Officials said he drove into a telephone pole, and then hit a rock wall.

It happened at the intersection of Crystal Street and Gino Merli Drive, around 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

The force from slamming into the telephone pole caused the connecting pole on the other side of the street to snap as well.

Utility crews were replacing the pole, and officials reported that the road may be closed all day on Sunday.
