The Scranton police department is getting ready for the St. Patrick’s parade day.

For the second year, the K-9 unit is holding a “paw-rade day sale.” They’re selling t-shirts and sweatshirts that read “2013 St. Patty’s Paw-rade Day” on the back.

All the proceeds go to the K-9 unit.

“It helps to offset the cost of training, the cost of the dogs, I mean every little bit helps because they are so expensive, the dogs and the training,” said Patrolman Mike Marino.

The shirts can be purchased at police headquarters on South Washington Avenue in Scranton.
