House Arrest For Former Teacher

SUNBURY -- A former substitute teacher in Northumberland County will spend six months on house arrest, and must register as a sex offender.

Michael Zack was sentenced Monday.

Zack pleaded guilty in December to unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of minors.

He was arrested in March, 2012 after being accused of sending inappropriate text and picture messages to 16-and-17-year-old female students.

Zack is a former substitute teacher at Shamokin Area High School in Northumberland County.
