Taste Test: V8 V-Fusion Sparkling

If you’re looking for a way to squeeze more fruits and veggies into your diet, V8 juices might just be the ticket!

And if you’re in a celebratory mood, V8 V-Fusion Sparkling may be the way to go.

But is the carbonated juice as refreshing as it sounds?

We asked some shoppers at the Viewmont Mall in Dickson City to find out.

Makers say the new refreshing and carbonated beverage is a great way to enjoy a serving of fruits and veggies!

That’s what we were hoping, anyway.

Melissa Shygelski from Dickson City was our first tester, and things did not get off to a great start.

“I don’t know, it burned my throat a little bit,” Shygelski said of the Strawberry Lemonade flavor.

V8 V-Fusion Sparkling is also available in Tangerine Raspberry and Black Cherry Pomegranate.

Josh Wasilius from Dallas didn’t like the sparkling juice either.

“It has like an off taste. I can’t put my finger on what it is really,” said Wasilius. “Maybe a little black cherry-ish. But I can’t taste the pomegranate at all.”

Tianna Ziwicki from Scranton said, “It’s not the best flavor that V8 usually has, but it’s pretty good.”

Each can contains 50 or 60 calories and around eleven grams of sugar.

Alicia Novak of Olyphant didn’t like all the bubbles.

“I tasted more than tangerine than i did the raspberry, but it is very Carbonated,” said Novak. “That’s the only thing I didn’t like about it. But some people like that.”

…people like Nancy, visiting from Savannah, Georgia, who said she would definitely buy the new offering from V8.

“I usually mix cranberry with club soda so it’s something I like,” said Nancy.

Toni Hudock from Tunkhannock also liked the juice in Strawberry Lemonade flavor.

“I think it’s fantastic!”

We found V8 V-Fusion Sparkling at Gerrity’s for $2.99 for a package of four cans.
