WILLIAMSPORT-- A group in Lycoming County is collecting clothing, shoes and other items for the needy.

The Stuff The Bus Campaign kicked off Monday morning in Williamsport.

The American Rescue Workers were taking donations at a bus parked at the post office on the corner of Memorial Avenue and Hepburn Street.

Organizers said February was typically a slow month for donations.

"People aren't moving around, cleaning out their closets. They haven't evaluated what they'll be wearing for the spring and summer, or what the fashions will be," said Dawn Darwin, with the American Rescue Workers.

Items can still be dropped off from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. through Saturday  in Williamsport.
