Police are examining clues they hope will lead them to a hit and run driver.

Nanticoke Police say a 16 year old boy, riding a scooter, was hit by a car Friday night.  It happened just after 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of West Union Street and Alden Road.

The driver took off.  A witness says the driver didn't even slow down or brake after the impact, and the car was moving at a high rate of speed.

The car is a dark, older model, with four doors.  It should have damage to the front passenger's side, with a broken headlight or marker light.

Police tell Newswatch 16 the victim is at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in stable condition.
