Money Stolen from Abe’s Hot Dog Shop

WILKES-BARRE — Wilkes-Barre Police said they plan to charge a Meyers high school student after he allegedly stole a bag of money from Abe’s hot dog shop on Barney Street.

Police said the teenager, a relative of an employee, walked out with an undisclosed bag of cash Thursday morning.

Cops said when they found the money in the boy’s locker he said he was going to use the money to buy marijuana.

The money was returned to Abe’s.
