MUNCY CREEK TOWNSHIP — A police officer and a neighbor helped a man in a wheelchair out of a burning home in Lycoming County early Wednesday, according to authorities.
The fire broke out around 4 a.m. in the double-block home on John Brady Drive in Muncy Creek Township.
A mother and her two adult children lived on the side of the home where the flames started. They are being helped by the Red Cross.
The owner of the building lived on the other side. He has smoke damage, according to fire officials.
A state police fire marshal said the cause was accidantal. Some combustible material caught fire after touching a hot water heater pipe.
