TEXAS TOWNSHIP — State police in Wayne County are on the look out for a person who attempted to rob a woman outside a Pizza Hut on Sunday.
Troopers said it happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Pizza Hut on Route 6 near Honesdale.
Authorities said the victim was walking towards her car outside the pizza shop when the attempted robber grabbed her and demanded money. According to police, the victim, a 31-year-old woman, fought back and the would-be thief was unable to snatch her purse.
Troopers said the robber was last seen along Route 6. If anyone has any information they are asked to call state police in Honesdale.
