BEAVER TOWNSHIP -- Two people are now in custody in connection with a homicide in Snyder County.

The body of Bonnie Snook, 71, was found Sunday inside her home on Creek Road near Middleburg.

Now investigators say the victim’s grandson and his wife may both soon face charges.

State police responded to a call at a home on Creek Road near Middleburg in a rural part of Snyder County Sunday morning.

The body of Bonnie Snook was found inside; her husband Dale, badly injured, was taken to the hospital and listed in serious condition.

The Snyder County district attorney says Snook's grandson, Joshua Snook, is being held at the county prison on a parole violation, however, the D.A. expects him to be charged in connection with his grandmother's death.

Judy Hauck lives just down the road from the Snooks.

“It was shocking, really shocking, I found out yesterday around noon that it was them, I had no idea,” said Hauck.

At a church nearby the Snook`s home, a message was posted on the church’s letter board, expressing sympathy for Bonnie’s family.

Hauck says Bonnie was a good person.

“My parents were in a car accident back in October and she actually was helping me do the laundry and take care of them.”

The D.A. says Joshua`s wife Jennifer is also locked up. Authorities charged her with conspiracy to commit theft and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Investigators say Joshua and Jennifer were plotting to kill a man from Sunbury Joshua fought.

The D.A. sys the couple went to Joshua`s grandparents’ house to get a gun to kill that man.

Investigators are not saying what happened inside the home that led to Bonnie`s death.

“Now you know it can happen in your own backyard which here you don`t hear of stuff like that, we`re pretty quiet,” said Hauck.
