BEAVER TOWNSHIP — Newswatch 16 has learned that the grandson of a woman found dead in Snyder County is expected to face charges in connection with her death.

Authorities now say they believe the grandson and his wife were plotting to kill someone else.

The Snyder County district attorney says right now two people are in custody in connection with the circumstances surrounding the crime.

According to the D.A. Bonnie Snook, 71, was killed inside her home Sunday near Middleburg and her husband Dale was seriously hurt.   Joshua Snook is the victim’s grandson.  He is in jail on a parole violation. His wife, Jennifer Snook, is charged with conspiracy, although the D.A. is not saying whether that means the homicide of Bonnie Snook or the planned killing of another person.

The D.A. says Joshua and Jennifer went to his grandparents’ home to get a gun to kill a man he got into a fight with but investigators would not say what happened inside the home that led to Bonnie’s death.

Joshua Snook is right now being held only on a parole violation but

the Snyder County district attorney tells Newswatch 16 he expects Joshua to be charged in relation to his grandmother’s death.  An autopsy on Bonnie Snook is scheduled for this week.
