BARRETT TOWNSHIP — Valentine’s Day means big business for a candy shop in the Poconos.
Newswatch 16 stopped by Callie’s Candy Kitchen in Mountainhome where workers were busy making hundreds of fresh, chocolate-covered strawberries.
Other popular sellers include chocolate hearts and those traditional heart-shaped boxes.
One man was picking up sweet treats for some lucky ladies.
“Naturally my wife, my daughter, my granddaughter, and a few others,” said Louis Camella. “I always do everything last-minute.”
Workers at Callie’s tell us Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times of the year, right behind Easter and Christmas.
