LEHIGHTON -- A man from Carbon County is headed to trial for allegedly setting fire to his sister’s home.
Russell Young of Lehighton waived his right to a preliminary hearing on arson charges in Jim Thorpe Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators believe Young set fire to the back porch of his sister’s home in Lehighton while she was inside last month. Authorities are still investigating a fire at young’s home just a short distance away earlier that morning.
Neighbors said Young didn't talk much.
“He was always to himself. He did a lot of walking, other than that he would say hi when we would see each other but it was never really no conversation," said Crystal Kneas.
Young faces several arson charges including arson with the danger of death or bodily harm in Carbon County.
