ROSS TOWNSHIP — A woman in Monroe County faces charges of assault and resisting arrest after state police said she attacked a trooper.
Authorities said Deborah Lucera, 59, assaulted a state police officer on Monday night at a home near Saylorsburg.
Troopers said they were responding to a home on Blue Ridge Road around 1:30 p.m. when Lucera approached the officers in a hostile way.
State police said she started kicking one of the troopers and push another down the steps while cursing. Authorities said she tried to bite an officer.
Lucera is locked up in Monroe County jail.
