Fire Hits West Scranton Duplex

SCRANTON — A fire ripped through a duplex on Scranton’s west side Monday evening.

The fire started upstairs. Five people lived in the building. They are all okay. A cat did not survive. The Red Cross was on scene to assist the victims.

Officials say the fire is under investigation and is not considered suspicious in Scranton.
