Bridge Work Still Pending

SCRANTON — PennDOT now tells us work on a damaged bridge in Lackawanna County is not expected to start until later this month.

Initially, PennDOT announced that work was scheduled to start today.

The bridge takes Moosic Street over the Central Scranton Expressway.

It was damaged in November, when it was hit by heavy equipment.

PennDOT blames the confusion over when work will start on a miscommunication.
