PITTSTON — Police are asking for your help finding a man who they believe tried to abduct a child in Luzerne County.
Pittston police said John Cheek tried to lure an 11-year-old boy into his vehicle on Sunday.
It happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Broad Street in Pittston.
Officers said Cheek got out of the car to persuade the child. The boy ran home. His mother called police.
Investigators said Cheek is driving a 2000 four-door Chevy Cavalier with a license plate JCN-1846.
