UPDATE: Thornhurst Home Destroyed In Blaze

COVINGTON TOWNSHIP — UPDATE: Fire officials said because of the extent of the damage, the cause of the fire is undetermined.

A Lackawanna County home was gutted by fire Thursday.

The blaze broke out around 9 a.m. at the place on Pine Grove Road in Thornhurst.

The home is destroyed.

Firefighters on the scene were hosing down smoldering rubble.

No one was injured and no one was home at the time.
