The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins held St. John's scoreless for the 3-0 win on Wednesday night in an American Hockey League game.
Goalie Brad Thiessen stopped all 26 shots for the Penguins.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is now 20-17-2-1 with 43 points and tied for 3rd place with the Hershey Bears in the East Division. They are on a five game winning streak and 6-4 in their last 10 games.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton travels to play Rochester Friday night January 25th and then finishes up the road trip in Toronto on Saturday January 26th game time 5pm before the AHL All-Star break.
