SUNBURY -- The shelves at "Custom Care Pharmacy" in Sunbury are filled with cold and flu medicine. It is flu season and the new pharmacy is jumping right in to give people relief.
"We've been strongly encouraging people who haven't gotten their flu shots to come in. If they do have the flu we can help them with some over the counter medications," said Stephanie Rosinski, of Custom Care Pharmacy
Custom Care Pharmacy is well known name in Milton and the new branch just opened on Market Street in Sunbury. Employees were stocking shelves and making sure everything was ready to go as they opened the doors for the first time.
Custom Care Pharmacy opened less than two weeks after another pharmacy, which is also on Market Street, closed. The pharmacist said many of the customers who went there will now have their prescriptions filled at Custom Care Pharmacy.
"So we can continue their care that they've been used to as smoothly as possible without any interruptions and without having to miss any medications," said Rosinski.
Pharmacist Rosinski said Custom Care Pharmacy offers competitive prices and home delivery service.
"I'm fond of Sunbury and the community. I wanted to help out where I was born and get into the community here," said Rosinski.
Dave Roth lives within walking distance and plans to have his prescriptions filled here.
"The pharmacy I'm getting my medications from is a good bit more of a distance for me to travel. I just noticed this place is opening up here," said Roth.
Custom Care Pharmacy in Sunbury is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
