OLD FORGE -- Starting on Monday drivers in part of Lackawanna County will have to take a detour around a busy bridge.
PennDOT is scheduled to close part of Main Street in Old Forge Monday so they can replace the bridge.
Officials said the steel span over the Lackawanna River is one of the most structurally deficient in the state.
Most drivers will just have to take a short detour over an adjacent bridge.
However, due to height restrictions, tractor trailers and other big trucks will need to take a route that goes through Duryea, Avoca and Moosic.
PennDOT expects the bridge construction to last about a year.
