WYOMING — A man was detained by police for questioning after a Saturday afternoon fire in Luzerne County.
Flames started around 5:00 p.m. at an apartment house in the 200 block of Wyoming avenue in Wyoming.
One apartment was wrecked by the fire and the three other apartments in the house have smoke damage.
Fire crews said everyone got out safely, but call the blaze suspicious.
A man was questioned after the fire. Police say he has not been charged.
“Several (bystanders) said that he came running out of the building and I know that he is in police custody and we’re taking it from there,” said Joe Kopzca, Wyoming’s Assistant Fire Chief.
A fire marshal is expected to investigate the cause of the fire.
