STROUD TOWNSHIP -- State police are investigating the cause of a house fire in Monroe County.

The home on Route 611 in the Bartonsville area started burning around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Authorities said no one lived there, but it is used for storage.

They said no utilities were connected to the house.

Route 611 had to be shut down for about three hours while firefighters battled the flames.
