Burglars Raid Scranton Store

SCRANTON -- Police are looking for the person responsible for stealing cash and cigarettes from a grocery store in Lackawanna County.

Himalayan Grocery along Pittston Avenue in Scranton was burglarized between Wednesday night and Thursday morning, according to police.

They believe the burglar got in through a side window and made off with about $500, about 100 packs of cigarettes, and a laptop computer.

The owner said he accidentally left the register unlocked, and the store's security cameras are broken.
