SCRANTON -- The Clarion Hotel along Meadow Avenue in Scranton was shut down Tuesday because of a suspected problem with the building's fire alarm system.

City inspectors discovered the problem earlier in the day.

The hotel moved its 76 guests to other hotels.

The Clarion is currently replacing the fire alarm system and hotel officials said the place could reopen as soon as Wednesday night.
