SCRANTON -- A police officer who had been accused of assault and other crimes was sentenced on lesser charges Tuesday.
Mark Miller was sentenced to 300 hours of community service after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in October, 2012.
Miller had faced charges of assault, terroristic threats, inciting a riot, and illegally using his position as a police officer after a bar fight at a club in Scranton in July, 2011.
Felony charges against him were dismissed in court in August, 2011.
