WILKES-BARRE -- In Luzerne County, dozens came out to celebrate Three Kings Day, or El Dia de Los Reyes.

The party, held at the Catholic Youth Center, marked the feast of the Epiphany, when the three kings brought gifts to the baby Jesus.

Children in Latin America celebrate this day after Christmas where the gift giving doesn't end.

Organizers say it's important to keep traditions alive from both their American and Latin American cultures.

“We celebrate turkey day which in Mexico we don't celebrate, but we don't forget our culture, we celebrate Independence Day, September 15. We throw a big party and we will never forget our roots,” said Lisette Tapia of Wilkes-Barre.

Kids also took turns hitting a piñata, and ate tamales and other traditional Latin foods at the celebration.
